- Do you travel to me?
- Yes. I am a mobile notary and travel to homes, offices, hospitals and care facilities by appointment in Yolo, Sacramento, Solano, Placer and Sonoma counties. Travel fees, when they apply, are separate from the notary fee and are agreed with you before service.
- What ID do I need?
- Each signer must appear in person with a photo ID that is current or was issued within the last five years, and that shows a description, signature and ID number. Accepted examples are a California driver's license or ID card, a U.S. passport, a driver's license or ID card from another state, a foreign passport or consular ID, or a U.S. military ID. If you do not have acceptable ID, call or text (707) 386-7325 before your appointment to ask about other options allowed under California law.
- What are your fees?
- Notary fees are set by California law (Government Code section 8211) and I never charge more than the legal maximum for a notarial act. Any travel fee is listed separately and agreed with you in advance. Call or text with your appointment details for a quote.
- Do you do loan signings?
- Yes. I am a Notary Signing Agent and handle purchase, refinance, seller, HELOC and loan modification signings for title companies, escrow officers, lenders, signing services and borrowers. I facilitate the signing, but I cannot explain loan terms. Questions about your loan go to your lender, escrow officer or attorney.
- Can you notarize if the signer cannot read English?
- My services are provided in English. A document written in another language can be notarized, but I must be able to communicate directly with the signer. If we cannot understand each other, the signer should use a notary who speaks their language.
- Do you work evenings and weekends?
- All appointments are scheduled in advance. Call or text (707) 386-7325 with the date and time you need and I will tell you whether I am available.
- Can you give legal advice?
- No. I am a notary, not an attorney. I cannot give legal advice, prepare legal documents, choose the type of document or notarial act for you, or explain the legal effect of a document. For those questions, speak with an attorney.
